Edvin Turkof
Univ. Prof. Dr. Edvin Turkof was born in Vienna, received his doctorate in 1982 and completed his specialist training at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH).
In 1996 he habilitated, in 1997 he was appointed Associate University Professor and opened his private practice in the same year.

Through intensive training with international leaders in Chicago, Lisbon, Montpellier, Paris, Brussels, Munich, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Tel Aviv, Mumbai and Botucatu, he was able to establish himself early on in his field.
In doing so, he pioneered new approaches in Aesthetic Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery and Microsurgery.

Expert witness Dr. Turkof
In addition to his surgical practice, Univ. Prof. Dr. Edvin Turkof is a generally sworn and court-certified expert witness for Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He prepares independent expert opinions and assists with complex questions regarding insurance, liability and damages. The aim is a fair assessment of the situation based on medical standards and comprehensible facts.
Clarification of important detailed questions
Expert opinions examine whether the patient was adequately informed about risks and complications and whether the treatment was carried out lege artis. A distinction is made between whether a treatment error occurred or whether an unsatisfactory result arose within the scope of possible complications.
Furthermore, it is clarified which insurance is responsible and how cases following procedures abroad can be realistically assessed, as claims there are often more difficult to enforce.
